A beige colour scheme may not be the first choice for your wedding day, but we’re here to prove to you that it is anything but boring. Beige can be anything you want it to be; elegant, rustic or bohemian. It’s oh-so easy to create a beautiful beige colour scheme.

As beige is a neutral colour, you can add in tons of other colours into the mix. White and green will create an organic, natural colour palette, while adding gold accents will make for a seriously glamorous affair. I love the thought of using botanical elements within a beige theme, so let’s take a look at some of my favourite ideas…
We’ll start right at the very beginning of wedding planning with your stationery. Many couples opt for stationery designs that they love, rather than looking at invitation sets that suit their chosen wedding style. By setting the scene with your stationery, you’ll give your guests a tiny glimpse of what is around the corner. You can also keep the same design throughout your wedding day, including your menus, table plans and place settings. It’ll help your theme tie in beautifully together. Crisp white invitations with rustic brown envelopes will look simple yet elegant. Wrap a roll of twine around each invitation for a lovely, organic touch.
While we’re on the subject, materials such as twine, hessian and burlap are perfect for a beige wedding theme. They can be used in abundance throughout your wedding day, especially if you want to go down the natural, rustic route. Hessian ribbon will look delightful wrapped around your wedding flowers, and the contrast of the green stems creates a truly beautiful bouquet. Burlap bunting is a fab way of decorating your wedding venue or gift card table and can even act as mini chair covers! I also think a simple white cake looks fab with hessian ribbon wrapped around each tier. Consider a yummy coffee and cream flavoured cake so that it really suits your theme.
It’s often the little things that help pull the wedding décor together, and there are so many options when it comes to a beige wedding theme that I could write forever. One of my favourite ideas is to use rustic wooden signs throughout your day. You can use signs to direct your guests to the bar, reception or facilities. However, I love the thought of writing different romantic quotes in beige calligraphy font on a number of different signs, and dotting them throughout your venue. Beautiful!

So let’s talk about the most important outfit of the day: the bride, of course! Beige a neutral colour that can be easily incorporated into your aisle style. A subtly-toned beige or cream lace dress is a beautiful choice, and is especially suited to a boho bride. Add a flower crown consisting of baby-breath and you’re definitely wedding-ready! Keep your bridal make-up understated, with nude lipsticks and creamy champagne eyeshadow. A flick of mascara will help to open up your eyes while highlighter on your cheekbones will create a dewy glow.
Your man will certainly look handsome in a beige or cream linen suit, teamed with a crisp white shirt. A linen suit is a modern option for a groom who is tying the knot in the Summer, or even on the beach!
Now let’s talk about your best women! Bridesmaids will look incredibly pretty in beige gowns. Consider a mixture of different shades and lengths to make sure your girls are completely happy with their outfits – different colours and shapes will suit different girls but you want to make sure they look coordinated. Glitzy Secrets have a huge bridesmaid accessory collection that your maids will adore, and it’ll add a touch of sparkle to their outfits.
Beige is a colour that is often overlooked when it comes to wedding colour palettes, but as you can see this is an undeniably beautiful theme that is effortlessly elegant.
