Pastel coloured wedding dresses are seriously popular at the moment, and we can certainly see why! Instead of the usual blush or peach, however, why not try a stunning pale blue or grey wedding dress? It looks ethereal and delicate in fabrics like tulle and satin, and compliments plenty of skin tones.
Both dusty blue and silver grey make for classic bridesmaids choices, and can easily be mixed and matched for a cool take on the trend. If you have a group of four or more bridesmaids, then an ombre look fading from palest blue to steel grey would look incredible. Keep flowers in simple shades of ivory or pale pink to let the dresses do all the talking.

Blue flowers are a lot easier to come by than you might imagine! For the perfect dusty blue, try blooms such as hydrangea, thistle and nigella, along with soft blue-grey foliage like lamb’s ear, eucalyptus and succulents. All of these flowers work brilliantly for buttonhole and table arrangements, too.
If you don’t want an entirely blue bouquet, then you can mix these flowers with shades such as lilac, soft pink or ivory white for a gorgeous pastel arrangement, or deeper shades of purple for a more dramatic effect.
For a dreamy blue-grey cake, what better design than a cool watercolour ombre effect? Choosing something pretty and painterly is the best way to incorporate this colour scheme into your wedding cake. Alternately, choose a simple white or ivory buttercream frosting and decorate with sugar or fresh flowers in a dusty blue shade.
