Is there anything more romantic than a Paris wedding? As one of the most beautiful and romantic cities in the world, it’s no surprise that the City of Light is a favourite location for destination brides wanting to tie the knot somewhere special. If you can’t quite make it across the channel, however, there are plenty of ways to give your wedding day that Parisien je ne sais quois…
Paris is all about fashion-forward, glamorous designs – no subtle wedding gowns here! If you want to feel like royalty on your big day, try a Marie Antoinette-inspired ballgown in on-trend pastel shades. Chic blush or pale grey both look incredible in dreamy chiffon, or you can try a buttery ivory satin for a touch of luxury.
A show-stopping gown requires accessories to match! Luckily, Paris is home to some incredible shoe designers (Christian Louboutin, anyone?), so splash out if your budget can stretch to it. Sparkle and embellishment detailing will match the glamorous theme.
Embrace vintage style with your jewellery, too. Delicate chandelier earrings like our Ornate Heirloom set will look gorgeous with an updo, while the Precious Heiress necklace will set off a strapless dress with flair. Add a chic feather hairpiece for a 1920’s-inspired twist on a veil.

Classically romantic flowers such pale pink or ivory roses are the perfect match for a Parisian themed wedding. Paris is also famous for its beautiful peonies – carry a bouquet of these blowsy blooms down the aisle, and arrange them with white hydrangea for table decorations that won’t (completely) blow the budget.
When you think of Paris, you think of the Eiffel Tower, so incorporating this architectural icon into your wedding décor is a quick and effective way to give your theme that French feel. Why not try miniature statuettes to hold your place names, or an Eiffel Tower motif on your stationery? Another pretty way to include Paris in your décor is to use a vintage map of the capital as your table plan, and name each table after the arrondissements or Paris attractions.

It wouldn’t be a Paris wedding without macarons! If you’ve got cash to flash, then treat your guests to Laduree macarons as wedding favours or as part of a dessert table – or just buy some from your local baker! Macaron wedding cakes also look incredibly effective.
If macarons aren’t your thing, why not try a traditional French croquembouche wedding cake? This profiterole-and-caramel tower is sure to impress your guests – and it’s just as delicious as anything from a Paris patisserie!
