Deep Burgundy & Blush Wedding Inspiration

October 16, 2017

When it comes to colour schemes for your autumn wedding, you really are spoilt for choice. Berry inspired hues, jewel tones and deep, dramatic colours that are decadent and opulent are all perfect at this time of year. One of my favourite palettes for autumn just has to be deep burgundy and blush. It combines rich luxury with delicate femininity and really, what’s not to love? Here’s even more inspiration for your blush and burgundy autumnal wedding…

A Burgundy and Blush Pink Wedding Colour Scheme

Deep velvety burgundy tones and soft blush shades really are perfect partners. For the most interesting look, don’t be too concerned with matching the colours precisely across your wedding. This look is more natural and more eye-catching when there’s a slight difference in the shades so don’t panic! I’d definitely recommend adding a few more colours to the palette just to lift the look to a whole new level – luxe gold and bold green would be absolutely wonderful.

Your Wedding Look

If this wedding theme is all about rich decadence, then your wedding day look absolutely has to reflect this too. A dramatic wedding dress would be absolutely perfect, as would a gown with exquisite embellishments or heavenly lace. Opt for a design that has a standout feature – perhaps a revealing back or plunging neckline – so you make a real statement. Of course, you’ll need the perfect accessories and you’ll find everything you need in the Glitzy Secrets Wedding Collection. Lastly, go bold with your shoes and finish your look with a flourish.

For the guys, a brave choice would have to be a rich burgundy suit but, if you don’t think that sounds like a good idea, go for blue instead. Accessorise with details to match the colour scheme plus a crisp white shirt for classic style.

Bridesmaids also have a lot of choice. Burgundy, blush and even gold dresses can work here really well and you can definitely embrace the mix-and-match trend too. Varying the colours of their gowns brings more visual interest to the look and each maid can bring her own personality to her style.

Styling Your Burgundy and Blush Wedding

As you’re styling your wedding, keep one word in mind – decadence. This means that you need to go a little bigger and a little bolder than you otherwise might. If you think of your wedding, just take it all up a notch and you’ll be absolutely fine!

Oversized bouquets and floral arrangements are an absolute must. Free-flowing arrangements with statement blooms are the way to go here and be sure to add in some touches of luxury too. Flowing silk ribbons, golden vases and floral accessories plus plenty of foliage will create a really fabulous look.

Make your tables as luxurious as possible. Charger plates, glassware, exquisite linens and plenty of candlelight will create the look that you want. Place cards with golden calligraphy, hired furniture with gorgeous burgundy upholstery and backdrops featuring billowing fabrics and even more flowers will give your wedding a style that you’ll never forget.
