Shall we start with your aisle style? The most important outfit of the day, we suggest opting for a gown that is soft with a flowing material, such as chiffon. It will feel lovely and floaty as you walk down the aisle and twirl into your first dance. Gowns adorned with floral embroidery, lace and illusion detailing will also work beautifully for a butterflies and blooms wedding theme. If you want to add a personal touch, you could have a butterfly and your wedding date embroidered into the inside of your gown. That way, you know your dress truly is bespoke to you and your big day! To complete your butterfly-inspired look, here at Glitzy Secrets we have some divine accessories to choose from, including butterfly headpieces and floral necklaces.
If you’re having small flower girls as members of your bridal party, they will love nothing more than embracing this enchanting wedding theme. Spoil them with a pair of dainty wings to wear alongside their gowns. They’ll love the thought of walking down the aisle playing dress-up! You could even ask your florist to create miniature flower crows or a floral wand adorned with pastel streamers. Why not swap rose petals for butterfly-shaped confetti and ask your flower girls to sprinkle it down the aisle. Let’s not forget about your team of ‘maids! While your best girls may not fancy the thought of donning a pair of wings, you can create the same vibe with iridescent sequin gowns.

When it comes to your wedding day décor, where do we start?! Opt for big, blousy blooms in the prettiest of hues as your table centrepieces and to line the aisle of your ceremony space. You can tie small flowers and butterfly shapes to the back of your chairs as alternative covers. Why not have a crafty evening in with your ‘maids (with some wine, of course) and create a butterfly-shaped backdrop for your ceremony or even for a DIY photobooth.
Don’t underestimate the importance of your wedding stationery. Opt for watercolour floral illustrations teamed with butterfly motifs for your save the dates and give your guests a very subtle clue about your spring celebration. You can finish off the look of your invitations by tying a silk ribbon together with a butterfly cut-out.
There are so many pretty ways to bring a butterflies & blooms wedding theme to life!
